HEADING TO HAYWARDS HEATH TOWN FC
ON SATURDAY MARCH 28 FOR NON-LEAGUE DAY
On Saturday 28 March, the famous Premier League Trophy will be at Haywards Heath Town’s Hanbury Park to mark Non-League Day as ‘The Blues’ host AFC Varndeanians (3pm kick-off) in the Southern Combination Premier Division.
The matchday will also have two very special guests in attendance, with Brighton & Hove Albion FC legends Glenn Murray & Bobby Zamora set to visit.
This is a great opportunity for fans and locals to take photos with and collect autographs from TWO prolific Seagulls strikers as well as get a rare, close-up look at the famous Premier League trophy.
Match tickets are priced at £8 for adults, concessions £4, U16’s free (and must be accompanied by an adult) – with all tickets to be purchased on the door.
Haywards Heath Town FC are targeting promotion from the Southern Combination Premier Division, which would see them move up into Step 4 of the football pyramid.
In recent seasons, the club has benefited from £123,000 investment from the Premier League Stadium Fund – including towards cost-saving LED Floodlights, installed in 2021 and a full refurbishment of its catering and hospitality offering undertaken in 2023 which has contributed a 40% increase in food matchday revenue.
The Premier League Stadium Fund is celebrating 25 years of investment, with more than £220 million distributed, since 2000, to upgrade infrastructure at over 1,000 men’s and women’s clubs throughout the English Football League and non-league pyramid.
Haywards Heath Town Commercial Director Paul Stone added: “The funding and support we have received from the Premier League Stadium Fund has had a huge impact. By switching to energy-efficient floodlights, we’ve saved on fuel bills and we’ve also been able to increase our matchday food offering and income with the recently opened Simmo’s Café.
“As a community-focused club with 20 teams across men’s, women’s and youth football, we have more than 300 Under-18s playing in boys and girls teams. We are thrilled to be welcoming the Premier League trophy and two players who hit more than 200 goals between them for our Sussex neighbours Brighton & Hove Albion.”
Non-League Day Founder James Doe added: “We started Non-League Day in 2010, with the goal to increase attendances at non-league grounds and share the enjoyment and special atmosphere of non-league matchdays with as many people as possible. Things have grown year on year and last year, there were a record 200,000 fans attending fixtures at Step 1-6, an increase of 30,000 on 2024.
“We’re pleased to have had the support of the Premier League for Non-League Day for 10 years and look forward to a very special matchday on Saturday 28 March at Haywards Heath Town – and at hundreds of other clubs throughout the country and even beyond, in Spain and Italy!”
