Franzen-Jones 11′, 27′, 44′, Shooman 65′
A first-half hat-trick from Lukas Franzen-Jones helped Haywards Heath Town to an impressive 4–0 victory over Midhurst & Easebourne at the HSEnergy Group Stadium. Fresh from the memorable midweek victory over Brighton & Hove Albion U21s, the Bluebells returned to league action looking to carry that momentum into the weekend.
Heath made a strong start and needed just 11 minutes to find the breakthrough when Sam Remfrey’s cross was dummied by Mark Goldson and found the feet of Lukas Franzen-Jones who found the bottom corner to continue his brilliant start to the season. Lukas made it 2 after Ryan Warwick’s free kick into the front post found Lukas Franzen-Jones who calmly headed in leaving the keeper with no chance..
Heath created multiple chances to make it 3 but In the 44th minute, Sam Remfrey received the ball out wide, took on his man and laid it on a plate to Franzen-Jones who found the net for a third time to complete an impressive first-half treble and send the Bluebells into the dressing room with a commanding 3–0 lead.
Heath continued to control proceedings after the restart, with Midhurst & Easebourne looking for a route back into the contest while the Bluebells searched for a fourth. That fourth goal arrived in the 65th minute through Harry Shooman, when a Lukas Franzen-Jones cross deflected off a Midhurst defender and into the path of Harry Shooman to make it 4-0.
The Bluebells saw out the remainder of the game professionally, securing all three points alongside another clean sheet.
